Kato Samiko is 20 km south of Pirgos (big town) and 120 km south of
Patras (main harbour and town, on the north-west coast of the Peloponnese). The natural
coastline is 70 km long with fine sand beaches and endless pinewoods. This all is a protected area.
The beach of Kato Samiko is approx. 2 km (1,5 miles) away from the bungalows.
This is the place of the origin of the ever first Olympic games. It has interesting archeological digs,
and is only 18 km away from Kato Samiko. Near Kato Samiko you find the well-known
temple of Apollon Epikourion Bassai (UNESCO) and lots of other interesting archeological sites.
There are also many monasteries in the area. Through its central position, Kato Samiko
is well suitable for day-trips, walking/hiking, and for other visits to special sights on the Peloponnese.
