Food and Drinks

Many restaurants, tavernas (similar to pubs) and bars with typical Greek Specialities and cheap drinks await your custom.

You can also find local discos near Olympia and Zaharo (Zaharo town approx. 10 min drive from Kato Samiko).


Shopping:

Pyrgos is a big town, where you not only find boutiques / shops and small typically Greek shops. 

Shopping is fun at weekly markets.

Pyrgos, Krestena (near Kato Samiko), Zaharo and Kopanaki (Sundays only) have colourful markets

with fresh fruit and vegetables and other items.

In Kato Samiko you have 2 small village shops at your disposal.  Nearby farmers sell wine, fruit and vegetables.

 

And, who wants to pick his/her own oranges at harvest time, can do so in Orange Garden.

Swimming, surfing, diving, beach – volleyball, mountain biking/cycling, fishing, walking/trekking, jogging, horse – riding,

motor – biking and much more.


Local Attractions

Only about 5 km from Kato Samiko you find the Thermal Springs of Kaiafa (lake). 

There you can bathe, drink the spring water and inhale in a grotto. 

The spring water is especially good for rheumatism, arthritis, skin-diseases,

neuralgia, asthma and coughs etc.

After you have used the thermal springs, you can relax at Orange Garden.
